Job summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist at Round Rock Medical Center, Baylor Scott & White Health, works under a Radiologist to perform interventional radiology procedures for ambulatory and hospital patients.

You will ensure patient safety, communicate using AIDET, prepare equipment, maintain records, and uphold quality standards while following safety policies. This role requires certification in radiography and readiness to advance in interventional radiography.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
• Must be certified within two years of hire in one of ARRT- interventional categories (CI/CV/VI).
• ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT-CI) or ARRT Interventional Radiography (ARRT-VI) may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality IR procedures according to exam protocol.
• Use AIDET when communicating with patients and obtain consent when required.
• Prepare patient and room, position patient and adjust equipment for procedures.
• Adhere to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, report issues, and support inventory.
• Document patient history, shielding, and test results, and manage records.
