Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist specialized in interventional radiology to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, manage post-processing, and ensure patient safety across age groups.

Requirements include AMA/JRCERT accredited training, ARRT registration, and BLS certification. ARRT VI/CI certification is preferred. This role emphasizes quality care, protocol adherence, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• None of the minimum experience required.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R).
• BLS Certified
• Advance ARRT certification in VI or CI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures incl. angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, GI studies and related drainage/biopsies.
• Completes all post processing functions and related record keeping.
• Follows established imaging protocols and practices for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Demonstrates competence in interventional radiology procedures for patients of all ages.
• Positions patient, selects protocol, and uses required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for related components.
• Adheres to radiation safety and dose reduction policies.
• Provides patient education and communications as prescribed.
