Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Radiographer to join our imaging team. You will perform radiographic procedures, ensure patient safety, and produce high-quality diagnostic images that support timely medical decisions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiography or related field.
• Current New Mexico Radiography license or temporary license required.
• ARRT certification preferred at hire; must obtain within 1 year if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic examinations per physician orders and safety standards.
• Maintain compliance with department policies, procedures, QA initiatives and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by providing clear instructions, ensuring comfort, and promoting a positive patient experience.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively while producing diagnostic-quality images.
• Review images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring all required imaging standards are met.
• Inspect and monitor equipment, supplies, and accessories regularly to ensure proper functionality.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels and stock required supplies in assigned imaging areas.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain examination rooms to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Assist with transporting patients to and from imaging areas, inpatient units, and the Emergency Department as needed.
• Practice proper infection prevention, safety, and patient handling techniques at all times.
• Collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and other healthcare team members to support timely and effective patient care.
• Participate in continuing education, in-service training, workshops, and professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical competency.
• Stay current with advancements in imaging technology, best practices, and industry standards.
• Attend departmental, organizational, and staff meetings as required.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional patient care.
