Job summary

Ochsner Health System seeks an IR Technologist to support interventional radiology procedures. The role involves preparing for procedures, scrubbing in, and ensuring adherence to radiation safety protocols. The position requires ARRT certification and relevant radiologic technology training.

Remote work is not offered; candidates should be able to work varied shifts in the Jeff Hwy area. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA approved school.
• ARRT registration required.
• Louisiana state license or eligibility with LSRTBE.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology.
• Preferred: 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Independently operate imaging equipment per protocol to acquire diagnostic images.
• Review images for quality prior to transmission.
