Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist for the Electrophysiology/IR lab to support complex image-guided procedures. The role involves operating angiography and ultrasound equipment, assisting with interventional cases, and ensuring high-quality imaging for inpatient and outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
• Typically 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
• Proficiency in radiology positioning and imaging techniques.
• Knowledge of embolic and thrombolytic materials and monitoring equipment.
• Ability to work independently and with diverse providers.

Responsibilities

• Operates angiographic and ultrasound equipment for procedures.
• Assists with interventional and surgical procedures as a scrub assistant.
• Monitors patients and responds to life-threatening changes; performs CPR as needed.
• Identifies and processes images with diagnostic quality.
• Maintains records and billing codes; enters data into RIS.
• Serves as a technical resource and mentor for staff.
