Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures and ensure high-quality images for diagnosis. Candidates must have an AS degree from an accredited program and at least 1 year of experience in a hospital environment. Proficiency in routine imaging techniques, good organizational skills, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care are essential. This role is based in Connecticut, and candidates must hold appropriate licensure and certifications.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in a hospital radiology department.
• One-Two years experience in a hospital radiology department preferred.
• Experience in O.R., Biopsies or other invasive procedures desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures using angiography and other equipment.
• Ensure high quality images for diagnosis.
• Maintain supplies required for individual procedures.
• Perform record keeping functions using HIS, RIS, PACS.
• Provide quality and compassionate patient care.

Skills

Proficient in routine IR imaging techniques

Knowledge of computer/PACS applications

Organizational skills

Communication/customer service skills

Understanding of anatomy and physiology

Education

Graduation from A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program

AS degree required, BS degree preferred
