Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Interventional Technologist at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. The role involves performing radiographic procedures, including angiography and interventional imaging, with emphasis on safety and diagnostic quality.

Qualified candidates hold an AS in Radiologic Technology and NYS licensure (or permit with 6-month licensure), plus ARRT-R eligibility or certification within 3 months. On-call coverage and daily room preparation are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited school of radiological technology or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment.
• ARRT-R certification or obtain certification within three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas, including angiography, interventional and digital subtraction angiography.
• Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts.
• Maintain accountability for patient throughout the angiographic area.
• Provide on-call coverage for Interventional Section of Radiology.
• Maintain proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary.
• Clean, restock and prepare rooms daily.
• Attend hospital and departmental meetings and in-service training.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Transport medications with patients to procedures and give medications to Physicians.
• Other duties as assigned.
