Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist at Rochester General Hospital. The role involves performing radiographic procedures in angiography/interventional suites, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

The candidate will also support documentation in RIS/PACS and participate in required on-call coverage. Qualifications include NYS Radiologic Technology license or permit with licensure within six months, ARRT-R within six months, and NYS Injection

Qualifications

• Two year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
• NY S license in Radiologic Technology (or permit) with licensure within six months.
• ARRT-R certification within six months of employment.
• NYS Injection Certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Radiography of patients in all assigned areas, including angiography and interventional procedures.
• Maintain accountability for timely and proper service during unsupervised shifts.
• Maintain patient accountability in the angiographic area.
• Provide on-call coverage for Interventional Radiology.
• Document exams and procedures in RIS/PACS and patient charts.
• Clean, restock and prepare rooms daily.
• Attend meetings and in-service training.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Education

NYS license in Radiologic Technology or permit and obtain licensure within six months

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R) within six months

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Department: Radiology

Location: Rochester General Hospital

Hours Per Week: 40hrs/week

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Days/Evenings/Night Shifts, Rotating Weekends

Sign-On Bonus: Sign-On Bonus up to $20,000

SUMMARY:

As an Interventional Technologist, your attention to detail and assistance with radiology procedures ensures diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients undergoing procedures. Performs and assists radiologists in performing radiographic procedures, obtaining images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for radiography of patients in all assigned areas, including angiography, interventional and digital subtraction angiography.

• Maintains accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts.

• Maintains accountability for patient throughout the angiographic area.

• Provides on-call coverage for Interventional Section of Radiology.

• Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary.

• Cleans, restocks and prepares rooms on a daily basis.

• Attends hospital and departmental meetings and in-service training.

• Provides excellent customer service.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology (or) must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R) within six months of employment.
• Effective 7/16/2018 - NYS Injection Certification within six months of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work in various software applications preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

• RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PAY RANGE: $33.25 - $45.50
