Job summary

Scrubs in with the physician and assists with peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Electro Physiology Lab at Eisenhower Medical Center. You will prepare supplies, pass guide wires and catheters, and operate fluoroscopic equipment during procedures.

Requires ARRT certification, CRT with fluoroscopy permit, and BLS; ACLS may be required for assigned department. Two years of radiology experience and EP/Cath lab exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Training Program approved by the AMA or equivalent.
• ARRT certification and CRT license with fluoroscopy permit; BLS/ACLS as required.
• Two years radiologic technologist experience and one year scrubbing in EP/Cath lab.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies.
• Obtains medical history before patient examination and prepares patient for exam.
• Assists physician with diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Scrubs to assist physician with passage of catheters/guide wires.
• Performs angiographic and interventional procedures with physician.
• Preps and drapes patients and sets up procedure tables.
• Provides appropriate tray setups and performs sterile scrubs.
• Maintains equipment and rooms; uses radiation protection best practices.
• Monitors inventory and supports on-call rotation.
