Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to provide patient care within the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role supports invasive cardiology and radiology studies, under physician supervision, and involves instruction to new staff, accurate documentation, and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, ARRT registration, IEMA licensure, and ACLS within 1 year. A sign-on bonus is offered for this position.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• ARRT registration in Radiography (R).
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (IEMA).
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician’s request and monitors for reactions.
• Under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist, performs functions.
• Assists with inventory and supplies.
• Verifies patient and chart identification and diagnoses.
• Documents per policies and procedures.
• Explains procedures and ensures patient comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Performs essential Radiologic Technologist duties.
• On-call duties and variable shifts as assigned.
