Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to support the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role involves assisting physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, maintaining patient safety, and coordinating with the team to deliver high-quality care.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and requires ARRT radiography credentials, Illinois licensure, and ACLS within 1 year. Excellent patient communication and dexterity are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.
• ARRT registration in Radiography and state licensure required (IEMA).
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material as directed by the physician and monitors for allergies.
• Works under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
• Assists with inventory and supplies.
• Verifies patient identity, chart, diagnosis and treatment position.
• Documents clinical information per policies.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort and safety.
• Performs essential Radiologic Technologist functions.
• On-call duties and variable shifts as needed.
