Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role involves assisting physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology studies, documenting procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

On-call duties and variable shifts may apply. Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree with Radiologic Technology, ARRT registration, ACLS certification within 1 year, and licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Capacity to learn and retain information regarding patient care and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accurately.

• Manual dexterity to handle small supplies.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician’s request and recognizes allergies.
• Functions under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
• Assists with inventory/supplies and checks patient identification.
• Documents accurately according to policies and procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
• Performs essential Radiologic Technologist duties and on-call or variable shifts.
