Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute. You will assist physicians in procedures, manage contrast administration, and ensure patient safety and comfort during invasive cardiology and radiology studies.

Required ARRT radiography certification, Illinois licensure, and ACLS within 12 months, with strong communication, documentation, and teamwork. Sign-on bonus offered; hospital-wide benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT registration in Radiography and Illinois Radiologic Technologist license.
• ACLS certification within 1 year per AHA standards.
• Strong attention to patient care, safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material as ordered and monitors for reactions.
• Under supervision of physicist/dosimetrist, performs essential radiologic functions.
• Maintains inventory and supplies; documents procedures accurately.
• Verifies patient identity, chart accuracy and treatment position.
• Assists in instruction of new staff and explains procedures to patients.
