This position is intended for those who are gaining experience in Interventional Radiology or Invasive Cardiology or are experienced Imaging professionals who wish to begin a career in the discipline. Job Responsibilities:-Assists Providers in performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures including but not limited to cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization and pain management.-Utilizes a variety of highly specialized radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional and/or invasive procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines.-Ensures procedures are performed safely and with the highest quality standards, maintaining a consistent focus centric care.-Assists in preparing patients for on patient procedures and providing comfort.-Acts as a scrub tech while assisting Providers during procedures-Maintains a strict sterile field adhering to safety protocols.-Responds to inquiries from patients and family members, provides clear information regarding diagnostic testing and expected result timelines.-Collaborates with team members across OU Health including Providers to provide exceptional patient care.-Conducts post-testing quality reviews to confirm that all required elements are completed, documented and align with departmental and accreditation standards.-Transfers images and data to the appropriate electronic health system, enters technical data/findings and prepares study for reporting by physician.-Performs quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting and other equipment maintenance tasks per manufacturer instructions for use and other regulatory guidelines.-Assists with quality assurance, audits and performance improvement tasks as requested.-Provides on-call clinical coverage outside regularly scheduled duty hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned.-May support OU Health's academic partnerships by actively engaging in teaching of students in the radiologic program.-May serve as a departmental preceptor to provide instruction and mentorship to new or less experienced team members.-Assists with onboarding of new team members.-Performs other duties as assigned.
