Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in an Interventional Radiologic Technologist role.
• Illinois Radiographer license and ARRT RT registration; BLS within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Operate angiographic and ultrasound equipment for inpatients and outpatients.
• Assist with interventional and surgical procedures as a scrub assistant.
• Monitor patients and respond to life-threatening changes.
• Identify and process images; ensure diagnostic quality.
• Verify requisitions match physician orders for exam accuracy.
• Post-process images with correct labeling and patient data.
• Maintain records and document billing codes.
• Serve as a technical resource and educator for staff.
• Collaborate across departments to improve imaging processes.
• Position patients safely and follow age-specific care requirements.
