Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Interventional Special Procedures Technologist to support imaging services in IR and vascular hybrid settings. The position requires minimum 1 year in Diagnostic Radiology, ARRT-R or ARRT-S certification, and BLS. The candidate will join a team dedicated to safety, accuracy, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma General or GED; Radiologic Technology program completed.
• ARRT-R or ARRT-S certification required; BLS certification required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Diagnostic Radiology and related clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional procedures in IR and vascular hybrid settings.
• Set up equipment and position patient for procedures with attention to safety and sterile technique.
• Enter appropriate charges for supplies and procedures (SIM CODES).
• Prepares necessary supplies and equipment for procedures and assists radiologists/vascular surgeons/cardiologists.
• Maintain departmental records, comply with Joint Commission standards, state and federal regulations.
• Provide patient education and ensure privacy and comfort for patient and family.
