Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist to join our radiology team. The role performs all Special Procedures with strict adherence to department policies, ensuring patient safety and quality imaging. The candidate must be ARRT-registered and hold BLS certification at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved program.
• Registered with ARRT; BLS certification through American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) upon hire.
• Ability to perform Special Procedures following accepted standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Special Procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manual and complies with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Controls the flow of patients within the section, in an efficient and timely fashion.
• Utilizes protective devices and immobilization as required for patient safety and comfort.
• Communicates to the patient the nature of the procedure and answers questions clarifying the procedure for the patient.
• Maintains continuing education credits for ARRT licensure.
• Takes call as assigned by Lead Technologist.
