Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology. The position is Monday–Friday, 0730–1600 with call, rotating through prep, recovery, and procedures, including moderate sedation for minimally invasive interventions.

The IR team performs a wide range of catheter-based and imaging-guided procedures. Candidates must have an accredited nursing degree, Texas RN license or Compact, and current BLS and ACLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License.
• Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS required.
• BSN required or must be obtained within three years of hire.
• Must have 2 years of acute care experience.
• Critical care or emergency center experience preferred.
• Current CRN or certification in field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides total nursing care for a group of patients in Interventional Radiology, including prep, recovery, and procedures.
• Performs moderate sedation for patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures.
• Collaborates with shifts/departments to ensure continuity of care and safety.
• Assess, implement or delegate plans of care per established nursing standards.

Education

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License

BSN required or must be obtained within three years of hire

Current American Heart Association ACLS required

Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association

Must have 2 years of acute care experience
