Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking registered nurses to plan, deliver, document and evaluate nursing care for patients across assigned units. This role requires current Ohio RN licensure and BLS, with ACLS/PALS/PEARS as needed by unit.

Experience in OR, PACU, critical care, or psychiatry is highly valued; CNOR certification and Cardio-Pulm rehab exposure are beneficial. MetroHealth emphasizes quality patient care and safety across its facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Ohio RN licensure.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, and PEARS certifications are required.
• CNOR certification or OR experience preferred for operating room roles.
• PACU or critical care experience is expected for relevant units.
• Prior psychiatric experience is valued for certain clinical areas.
• Two years of Cardio-Pulm Rehab or related nursing experience is advantageous.
• TB/public health experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Plans for, delivers, documents and evaluates nursing care of patients in an assigned area, according to orders and standards.
• Directs activities of assigned nursing personnel in care provision.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient condition, treatment, and response to care.
