Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Virginia is seeking an Interventional Radiology RN on a PRN basis. You will provide direct nursing care on the IR unit, educate patients and families, and work with the clinical team to implement individualized care plans.

You will coordinate unit activities and ensure discharge planning is integrated with the care team. The role requires RN licensure in Virginia (or compact) with BLS; prior med/surg and critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year experience on med/surg unit and one year experience in critical care.
• Minimum of two year’s experience as a registered nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Instruct and educate patients and their family members.
• Utilize equipment and perform procedures relevant to Radiology/Nursing.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems.
• Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
