Job summary

Wichita Urology Group is seeking a Prostate Artery Embolization Recovery RN to join our team in Wichita. The RN will provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing embolization, collaborating with interventional radiologists and urologists.

The ideal candidate has a BSN/ADN, Kansas RN license, BLS, and 2+ years of relevant nursing experience, with preference for interventional radiology or critical care. Full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with preference for interventional radiology, cardiology, or critical care.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Procedure Patient Care: assess patients, educate, verify identities, initiate IV access, administer pre-procedure meds, assist with imaging orders.
• Intra-Procedure Assistance: monitor vitals, assist with positioning, administer sedation, ensure sterile technique, communicate with team.
• Post-Procedure Care: monitor recovery, manage pain, provide discharge instructions, document care, educate patient and family.
• Collaboration & Communication: work with physicians and radiology team, communicate with patients/families, participate in rounds and care planning.
• Patient Education and Support: educate on lifestyle changes and long-term health management after embolization.
• Safety and Compliance: follow policies, infection control, regulatory requirements, equipment operation, maintain clean environment.
