Job summary
Wichita Urology in Wichita, KS is seeking a Prostate Artery Embolization Recovery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interventional radiology and urology teams. You will provide direct patient care before, during, and after embolization procedures.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of nursing experience, a Kansas RN license, BSN/ADN, and BLS; ACLS and CRN are pluses. You will collaborate with physicians and radiology staff, monitor patients, manage medications, and educate patients and
Qualifications
- BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Kansas RN license.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and CRN preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; interventional radiology/critical care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-procedure assessments and educate patients about the procedure.
- Assist with IV access, medications, and imaging as ordered.
- Monitor vital signs and assist the IR team during embolization.
- Provide post-procedure monitoring and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and radiology staff to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain documentation and compliance with safety protocols.
