Job summary

Wichita Radiological Group is seeking a Radiologic Technologist – Interventional Radiology. The role assists physicians in outpatient interventional procedures, operates fluoroscopy and sonographic equipment, and supports sterile endovascular work. You will prepare patients, ensure sterile fields, and document imaging sequences.

Responsibilities

• Assist Interventional Radiologist in invasive procedures.
• Operate fluoroscopy and sonographic equipment for imaging.
• Position imaging equipment and adjust exposure times and distances.
• Direct sterile assistance for endovascular procedures.
• Prepare patient and sterile field for procedures.
• Document scan sequences and adjust equipment settings.
• Set up exam rooms and ensure equipment is ready.
• Monitor video display and optimize image quality.
• Coordinate with clerical staff and other technologists.

Radiologic Technologist – Interventional Radiology

As the largest subspecialty-focused practice in Wichita, our physicians bring a wide variety of subspecialty expertise in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology and radiation oncology.

Radiologic Technologist – Interventional Radiology

Assists physicians in performing all types of outpatient interventional radiology procedures, including patient preparation, intra and post-surgical procedures.

Some Duties Include

• Primary duties – assisting Interventional Radiologist is several invasive procedures.
• Operates or oversees operation of fluoroscopy and sonographic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
• Positions imaging equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.
• Direct assistance with endovascular sterile procedures.
• Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table for treatment or examination.
• Sterile preparation of procedural site and sterile preparation of equipment.
• Keys commands and data into computer to document and specify scan sequences, adjust transmitters and receivers, or photograph certain images.
• Sets up examination rooms, ensuring that all necessary equipment is ready and adjusts settings or positions of medical equipment.
• Monitors video display of area being scanned & adjusts density/contrast to improve picture quality.
• Coordinates work with clerical personnel or other technologists.

Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Current license with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. (KSBHA)
