Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support peri-operative services. The role involves providing pre- and post-procedure care, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring patient safety throughout diagnostic and surgical workflows.

You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to address age-specific needs, document care accurately, and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives across departments within the system.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree or diploma in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications required upon hire or within stated timelines.
• Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for invasive, interventional, and surgical procedures.
• Demonstrate sterile technique and IV administration competence.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; coordinate with physician and care team.
• Maintain accurate charting, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in other Medical Imaging areas as needed and manage daily patient scheduling.
