Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, NJ. The role involves delivering evidence-based nursing care, communicating with patients and the health care team, and using advanced bar-scanning and documentation tools to ensure safe medication delivery.

You will document care at the point of service, educate patients and families, and coordinate safe patient discharges to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• NIHSS preferred; 1 year Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• BSN in progress or willingness to enroll within 3 years of hire.
• 30-minute on-call response time required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care based on evidence-based practices and standards.
• Communicate with patients and health care team regarding status and plans.
• Utilize bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe medication delivery.
• Document at the point of care and update care plans.
• Provide patient and family education to promote health and disease management.
• Coordinate safe discharges to ensure continuum of care.
