Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas River Park Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant to support interventional radiology services on a PRN basis. You will conduct patient assessments, obtain informed consent, participate in procedures under physician supervision, and deliver post-procedural care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

The role requires a graduate PA, Tennessee license, BLS, and preferred Master’s degree with 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; Tennessee PA credential required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including history taking and physical examinations.
• Perform pre-procedural evaluations and obtain informed consent for interventional radiology procedures.
• Provide post-procedural care and monitoring in recovery areas.
• Manage patient care during interventional procedures under physician supervision.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with the interventional radiology team.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, risks, benefits, and post-procedure care.
• Assist with minimally invasive procedures and perform minor procedures as allowed by state regulations.
• Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety protocols.
