Job summary

The Radiology Staff Nurse at UNC HealthCare provides care for patients undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures across pre-, intra-, and post-procedural phases. You will collaborate with Interventional Radiologists, Anesthesiologists, and Radiology Technologists to ensure safe, high-quality nursing care during complex procedures.

Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications per orders, documenting care, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; current NC RN licensure required.
• Must demonstrate professional nursing knowledge and clinical skills.
• Ability to work in Interventional Radiology and Imaging departments.

Responsibilities

• Assess and care for Radiology patients undergoing procedures per orders.
• Administer medications and notify providers of changes.
• Document nursing activities and ensure daily nursing charges.
• Serve as team leader when assigned and mentor staff.
• Maintain competencies and participate in meetings and quality initiatives.
