Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in North Carolina.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• One year of nursing experience; radiology/perioperative preferred.
• ACLS certification within orientation; other radiology certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

• Education: identify learning needs and provide patient education materials.
• Evaluation: set outcomes and collaborate with interdisiplinary team.
• Implementation: care for complex patients and plan discharge needs.
• Leadership: support unit goals and effective communication.
• Patient assessment: prioritize care based on data and patient needs.
• Planning: coordinate with family and resources for care plan.
• Research: review journals and discuss applicability with staff.
