Job summary

UNC Health Care’s Wayne UNC Health Care radiology team seeks a Radiology Staff Nurse to deliver patient care across pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases in Interventional Radiology. You’ll collaborate with radiologists, anesthesiologists, and technologists to ensure safe, high-quality care and accurate documentation.

The role requires NC RN licensure, BLS/advanced life support as needed, and at least two years’ radiology or critical care nursing experience.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina.
• BLS and/or life support certifications as required by unit or department.
• Two years of Radiology, procedural, or critical care nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, assesses, identifies interventions for Radiology patients per orders; follows care plans.
• Administers medications as ordered; notifies providers of critical changes.
• Assesses baseline needs and individualizes the plan of care.
• Delivers nursing care in pre-, intra-, and post-procedural phases with professional judgment.
• Documents nursing activities clearly; maintains competencies and certifications.
• Supports teamwork and acts as a preceptor when needed.
