Job summary

New Jersey Urology (NJU) seeks an Interventional Radiology Tech (IR Scrub Tech) for a full-time day shift in Voorhees Township, NJ. You will prepare patients and rooms, maintain a sterile field, pass instruments, and assist physicians during procedures.

You will also input patient data into the C-Arm, support equipment maintenance, and help with billing codes while adhering to HIPAA and safety procedures. The role may involve radiation safety responsibilities and accreditation tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma and valid BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a sterile procedural environment within the last 5 years; scrubbed cases required.
• ARRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures
• Reviews patient orders to determine materials and sets up/cleans rooms
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during procedures while maintaining sterile technique
• Complies with HIPAA, labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images
• Manages equipment maintenance, inventory, and hazardous waste disposal
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys
• Ensures effective communication with physicians
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes

IR Centers at New Jersey Urology (NJU) is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab. We are leading minimally invasive procedures at 40+ offices across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting.

As an Interventional Radiology Tech (IR Scrub Tech) at NJU, you will assist in preparing patients and procedure rooms for surgeries, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready. You will maintain a sterile environment, assist physicians during procedures by passing instruments, and help with patient positioning and transfers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Valid BLS Certification

Skills

Working conditions

Employees may be exposed to infectious diseases. Must lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist in patient transfers up to 400 pounds. Standing in a protective apron for 60-90 minutes is required. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities are available.
