The Radiology Department at Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join our growing team.
The candidate will join a division of dedicated Interventional Radiologists, an IR Physician Assistant and an IR Nurse Practitioner. The candidate will perform a wide range of challenging and interesting procedures as Stony Brook is a Level 1 trauma center and the only tertiary care hospital in Suffolk County with a large referral base. They will also hold an academic appointment with our Renaissance School of Medicine with the opportunity to teach and mentor residents, fellows and medical students. Our Radiology Residency Program supports an ESIR Program, and we are considering beginning an Integrated IR Fellowship. There is also support for a Leadership position for qualified candidates as well as opportunities for research.
Pur IR suite is located in the new hospital pavilion with state-of-the-art equipment, a dedicated IR CT and four (4) Angio rooms including a Bi-Plane room.
Tenure/Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for tenure faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
