Interventional Radiologic Technologist – Travel Contract

Location: Urbana, IL

Gross Pay: $4,000 / week

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

• Schedule: 4x10s
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist to support invasive cardiology and interventional radiology procedures within a Heart & Vascular setting. This role involves assisting physicians during complex procedures while ensuring patient safety, sterile technique, and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during invasive cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
• Administer contrast material and monitor for adverse reactions
• Establish and manage IV access when needed
• Maintain sterile field during procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms and pull necessary supplies
• Verify patient identification, diagnosis, and positioning
• Compile and document clinical information accurately
• Monitor radiation safety and medication dosages
• Support inventory management and equipment readiness
• Provide patient education, comfort, and safety
• Participate in late shifts and on-call coverage as required

Procedural Experience Preferred

• Central venous access and tube changes
• Embolization (arterial and venous)
• Venous thrombectomy
• Dialysis access procedures

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT (R) Certification
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Ability to maintain sterile technique in procedural environments
• Strong communication and technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in interventional or procedural radiology
