Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer comprehensive respiratory therapies and support ventilated patients across ICU, ER, and floor units. You will assist with bronchoscopy and interventional pulmonary procedures in inpatient, outpatient, and OR settings, while adhering to hospital policies.

The role requires an RRT, an AS or higher in RT, and CA RCP licensure, with experience in critical care and sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Two year advanced practice RT education program or AS degree.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) issued by the state of California.
• BART or BLS at hire with plan to obtain RAT within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Administers general respiratory therapy procedures including humidity and aerosol therapy.
• Monitors and maintains patients on continuous ventilatory support.
• Assists with bronchoscopy and interventional pulmonary procedures as needed.
