Job summary

University of Chicago seeks a Registered Nurse to support the Interventional Pulmonary Clinical Program. You will coordinate care for airway and pleural interventions, explain procedures to patients, and liaise with physicians and staff across departments.

Ideal candidates hold an Illinois RN license, BLS, CPR/ACLS/PALS, and 2–5 years of related experience, with preference for interventional pulmonary exposure. On-site role with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• CPR, ACLS, and/or PALS certifications valid.
• 2–5 years in a related nursing role.
• Experience with interventional pulmonary procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and scheduling for airway and pleural interventions.
• Explain diagnoses, procedures, and treatments to patients and families.
• Interact with physicians, nurses, administrators and external providers.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and accurate documentation.
• Support outpatient interventional pulmonary clinic activities.

Education

Illinois RN license (current)

BLS (American Heart Association)

CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications
