Job summary

The University of Chicago seeks a skilled nurse to coordinate the Interventional Pulmonary Clinical Program, supporting 4 to 6 physicians. You will coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimes, interact with patients, schedule procedures, and liaise with referring physicians, nursing staff, hospital administration.

You will provide complex nursing care during discharge and assist with airway/pleural interventions in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Illinois RN license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
• 2–5 years of experience in relevant clinical area.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimes for 4–6 physicians.
• Explain diagnoses, procedures, and treatments to patients.
• Schedule and coordinate airway and pleural interventions.
• Liaise with referring physicians, nursing staff, and hospital administration.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education materials.
