Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, seeks an Interventional Psychiatry RN to deliver direct patient care in the Interventional Psychiatry Clinic. Under supervision, the RN administers treatments and provides pre- and post-procedure care, with emphasis on patient rights, confidentiality, and documentation.

Candidates must hold a current Iowa RN license, have 1 year in mental health and clinical settings, strong communication, de-escalation skills, and complete required certifications

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license required.
• At least 1 year experience with individuals with chronic mental illness.
• At least 1 year clinical setting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment and interventions in the Interventional Psychiatry Clinic.
• Performs pre-treatment and post-procedure care and observation.
• Documents observations and results of interventions.
• Collaborates with leadership team, Healthcare Tech, and administrative partners to provide care.
• Maintains patient safety and participates in team-based goal setting for treatment.
