Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA seeks an Interventional Psychiatry Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care within the Interventional Psychiatry Clinic. You will administer treatments, provide pre- and post-procedure care, document observations, and collaborate with the care team.

Strong de-escalation skills, a current Iowa RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications are required, with orientation to ECT competencies and ongoing certifications.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license required.
• 1 year experience with individuals with chronic mental illness recommended.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to de-escalate patients using BMC training and maintain certifications (BLS/ACLS) during orientation and thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment and interventions in Interventional Psychiatry Clinic.
• Performs pre-treatment and post-procedure care and observation.
• Documents observations and clinical information accurately.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Collaborates with leadership, Healthcare Tech, and administrative partners to provide comprehensive care.
• Participates in creating a therapeutic environment through teamwork and responsive behavior.
