Job summary

The Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking an Interventional Psychiatry RN to join the Outpatient Behavioral Health team. The role provides routine direct services and peri-procedural care, under supervision of the Interventional Psychiatry Section Chief, delivering pre-treatment and post-procedure care and monitoring.

You will collaborate with leadership, Healthcare Tech, and admin partners to support a full range of treatments.

Qualifications

Current RN license recognized by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
One year working with individuals with chronic mental illness.
One year working in a clinical setting.
Ability to work cooperatively with the multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to verbally and physically de-escalate a patient.
Ability to secure and maintain required interventional treatment certifications during orientation.

Responsibilities

Provides routine direct services and care to patients in the Interventional Psychiatry Clinic.
Administers treatment and interventions; delivers pre-treatment and post-procedure care and observation.
Documents observations, clinical information, and results of interventions.
Collaborates with Interventional Psychiatry leadership, Healthcare Tech team, and administrative partners to provide a full array of treatments and clinical care.
