Job summary

Summit Spine and Joint Centers in Atlanta seeks a fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Management Physician to lead and expand the Intrathecal Pump Program across the Metro Atlanta market.

You will provide comprehensive evaluation, implantation, management, and long-term follow-up for intrathecal drug delivery therapy, shaping protocols and workflows with a strong leadership role. Equity partnership is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with medical licensure in Georgia or eligibility.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pain Medicine.
• Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management.
• Experience with intrathecal drug delivery systems.
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Interest in program development and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical evaluation and management of intrathecal pump patients.
• Perform pump implantation, revisions, and programming.
• Develop workflows and protocols for the Pump Program.
• Collaborate with APPs and staff to expand the service line.
• Drive quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
• Grow metro Atlanta pump program and maintain referrals.
• Mentor team on intrathecal therapies.

Summit Spine and Joint Centers is seeking a fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Management Physician with expertise in intrathecal drug delivery systems to lead and expand our growing Intrathecal Pump Program across the Metro Atlanta market.

About the Role

The physician will serve as the clinical leader for our intrathecal pump service line, providing comprehensive evaluation, implantation, management, and long-term follow-up of patients requiring intrathecal drug delivery therapy.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate patients for intrathecal drug delivery therapy and determine candidacy
• Perform intrathecal pump implantation, replacement, revisions, and related procedures
• Manage long-term pump programming, refills, troubleshooting, and ongoing patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to develop individualized treatment plans
• Participate in the continued growth and strategic development of the Pump Program throughout Metro Atlanta
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor regarding intrathecal therapies and best practices
• Maintain exceptional quality, safety, and patient satisfaction standards

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine
• Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management
• Demonstrated experience with intrathecal drug delivery systems, including implantation and long-term management
• Active Georgia medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
• Interest in program development, collaboration, and long-term practice growth
