Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s Interventional Pain Medicine Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient team. The role emphasizes comprehensive pain management using advanced fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided techniques, with a focus on non-opioid therapies and multimodal care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master’s degree or higher required.
• Current North Carolina Medical Board licensure or eligibility.
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC for NPs if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive examinations, evaluations, diagnostic and treatment planning for chronic and complex pain conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and the healthcare team to deliver team-based care.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic procedures.
• Educate patients about procedures, preparations, and expected outcomes.
• Perform procedural skills per guidelines and participate in follow-up care.
