Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist PRN to support interventional imaging under the lead technologist. You will assist in interventional suites, operate fluoroscopy and related equipment, prepare patients, maintain sterile fields, and act as circulator, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires ARRT MRT license, acute care radiology experience, and the ability to work with diverse patient ages in a high-volume facility.

Qualifications

• ACC Radiology Tech with acute-care experience required.
• Interventional technologist experience (1–2 years) preferred.
• License and ARRT certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures in the Interventional Suite.
• Operate equipment in the procedure room (fluoroscopy, monitors, injectors).
• Prepare patient and room; maintain sterile field.
• Demonstrate familiarity with Renal, Neuro, Peripheral and Vascular anatomy.
• Perform role of circulator; manage supplies and injector.
• Provide patient care during procedures and explain the process.
• Ensure patient safety and adhere to precautions and regulations.

Education

Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology

ARRT-registered Radiologic Technologist

Texas Medical Board MRT license

ARRT primary certification in Radiography or VI

NIHSS within 1 month of employment start date

Basic Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
