Job summary

Orlando Health seeks an experienced invasive imaging technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures for cardiovascular care. You will work under a preceptor during orientation, ensure patient safety, record clinical data, and support physicians in complex procedures.

The role requires CNS-level cardiovascular imaging credentials, radiography certification, and current life-support certifications; flexibility for varied shifts is common.

Qualifications

• Certifications in invasive cardiovascular imaging or radiography are required.
• BLS and ACLS must be current; PALS may be required depending on unit.
• RCIS/RCES must be achieved within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Works under supervision during orientation period.
• Delivers appropriate care while ensuring successful procedures.
• Assesses patient condition and age-specific needs.
• Educates patient on procedure, safety, and comfort.
• Documents clinical history and maintains complete records.
• Positions patient/equipment for high-quality images.
• Applies radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Monitors physiological data during procedures.
• Supports physician as scrub assistant for CV procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and policy compliance.
• Ensures proper case turnover and workflow efficiency.
• Maintains inventory and equipment readiness.
• Works evenings, weekends, holidays; potential at other facilities.
• Notifies BioMed for issues and reports incidents per policy.
