Job summary

Advocate Health in High Point, NC seeks an experienced Cardiovascular Specialist to join our Cath Lab team. You will perform in invasive cardiology procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate has RN or allied health credential, cardiovascular interventional training, and ACLS/CPR certification. This full-time role requires on-site availability and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Allied Health Technology (Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, etc).
• Cardiovascular Interventional Program graduate or minimum of two years as Cardiovascular Specialist.
• Licensed or registered per state requirements (RN or Allied Health).
• Experience with invasive cardiology procedures and radiographic equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to hospital policies and promote quality of care.
• Ensure readiness of emergency equipment and respond to emergencies with ACLS/BCLS.
• Maintain safe environment, manage IVs and medications, verify patient info and records.
• Document accurately in electronic systems and ensure proper charges and QA data.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and team; coordinate care across departments.
• Provide 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab coverage as needed and rotate on-call duties.
• Administer medications under physician supervision and monitor physiologic stability.
• Educate and support co-workers and trainees; maintain competencies.
• Perform point-of-care testing and comply with regulations.
• Ensure age-appropriate patient care and safety throughout procedures.
