Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join a well-established practice in Milwaukee, WI, with inpatient and outpatient duties across two Ascension hospitals. Expect call coverage and collaboration with a dedicated team to deliver advanced cardiac diagnostics and procedures.

Physicians must hold an MD/DO and obtain Wisconsin licensure, with ACLS/BLS; prior interventional experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification / Registration required: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Perform and interpret a full scope of cardiac diagnostic tests, specifically Echo, EKG, and Regular and Nuclear stress test reads.
• Consultation: Participate in specialty inpatient and outpatient consultation, which may include on-call schedules.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Step into a well-established Cardiology practice of 5 other physicians and 4 APPs who also support weekend call coverage.
• Call Structure: 1:4 weekends with the potential of 1:5. (Friday evening - Monday morning). 1-2 nights per weekday.
• Practice setting: Managing weekly rotations at both locations across both inpatient hospital settings and outpatient clinics.
• Access to Cath lab | Robotics | Dedicated block time |Support staff
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
