Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II in the Baltimore, MD area. The role performs angiographic and interventional procedures with emphasis on patient management before, during, and after the procedure.

The position supports high-quality imaging and patient care in a busy cath lab environment. Eligible candidates will have an AMA-approved radiologic technology program, ARRT certification, Maryland license, and ACLS or eligibility.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology (2+ years).
• Experience in diagnostic radiology is required.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization preferred.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Maryland Radiology license required.
• ACLS certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast media during cardiac catheterization as directed by the cardiologist.
• Assists in obtaining hemodynamic data and monitors patient during procedures.
• Maintains supplies, records, and inventory for the lab.
• Operates imaging equipment safely to produce high-quality images.
• Provides patient education and post-procedural care and discharge instructions.
• Responds to on-call emergencies per department policy.
