MedStar Health is seeking a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II to join our team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. The role involves performing angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures and managing patients before, during, and after the procedure.

Responsibilities include administering contrast media, scrubbing as first assistant, assisting with guide wires and catheters, maintaining supplies, and documenting in RIS.

Qualifikationen

• AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology (2 years).
• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or eligibility.

Aufgaben

• Administers contrast media into coronary arteries under Cardiologist guidance during catheterization.
• Assesses pathology and vital signs to gauge injection pressure.
• Supports patient care before, during, and after procedures; scrubs as first assistant to physician.
• Schedules and maintains patient flow; manages interventional supplies and inventory.
• Records data in RIS and hospital systems; ensures accurate patient and supply entries.
• Performs hemodynamic monitoring, imaging, and electrophysiology/ablation procedures per policy.
• Operates imaging equipment and responds to on-call emergencies per department policy.
• Pre- and post-procedure duties including education, lab checks, discharge instructions, and transport.
