Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital and Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. The role performs angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures and manages patients before, during, and after the procedure.

You will work with Cardiologists, scrub in, assist with guide wires and catheters, monitor hemodynamics, and ensure high‑quality imaging. Requires ARRT certification, Maryland license, and ACLS.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program of at least two years.
• Two years’ experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Maryland Radiology Technologist license.
• ACLS certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administer contrast media during cardiac catheterization under a Cardiologist.
• Scrub independently and assist with guide wires and catheters.
• Maintain inventories and enter patient data into RIS or hospital system.
• Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures.
• Respond to on-call emergencies per department policy.

Education

AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program (2+ years)

ARRT certification/registration

Maryland Radiology Technologist license

ACLS certification or eligibility
