Beth Israel Lahey Health in Plymouth, MN is seeking an experienced Cath Lab professional to assist cardiology and vascular procedures, including pacemaker and ICD implants. You will monitor hemodynamics, manage inventory, and ensure radiation safety while supporting interventional and diagnostic labs.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, ARRT/ACLS/BLS, and an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology. On-site 10-hour shifts and varied hours based on department needs are provided.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years related work experience required.
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) course completion.
• Must be able to work in a 20lbs lead apron.
• Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical specific to functional areas and related systems.
• Cardiac Interventional Certificate within one year.
• Knowledge of cath lab inventory.
• Minimum 3 years recent related experience in Angiography (Special Procedures).

Responsabilités

• Assists the cardiologist and/or vascular surgeon in diagnostic and invasive cardiac, vascular and EP procedures.
• Assists in permanent pacemaker and ICD implants.
• Manages imaging and operation of interventional/diagnostic labs.
• Participates in hemodynamic monitoring, scrubbing and circulating duties.
• Monitors patient hemodynamics and informs physicians of changes.
• Maintains inventory in procedure areas and restocks as needed.
• Reports to Nurse Manager and Director.
• Uses aseptic technique for patient prep and documents hemodynamic data.
• Troubleshoots equipment and records data from procedures.
• Provides skills to assist in interventional cardiac, endovascular, diagnostic and EP procedures with radiation protection.
• Maintains inventory with Materials Management; completes expired stock lists monthly.
• Attends seminars, cross-trains in Cardiac Cath Lab, maintains CEUs.
• Assists with inventory management and billing reconciliation.
• Performs daily X-Ray QA and QC of equipment.
• Assembles and calibrates equipment; documents problems.
• Rotates through call, onsite within 30 minutes.
• Mentors/trains students and new staff in the Cath Lab.
• Accurate documentation and data entry.
• Floats to assist in Diagnostic Imaging.
