Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an Interventional & Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to prepare patients, perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, and provide high-quality imaging for timely radiologist interpretation.

The role requires ARRT registration, BLS/ACLS certification, and preferred RCIS or VI registration, with about two years of cath lab experience. You will support patient safety, infection control, and performance improvement initiatives in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology is required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• ARRT VI or RCIS registration is preferred.
• Two (2) years’ experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or related setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for diagnostic cardiac catheterization or interventional procedures by confirming physicians’ orders and verifying identities.
• Operates cardiac catheterization devices and assists physicians as a sterile team member.
• Monitors ECG, hemodynamic status and other signs to ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Maintains sterile field and adheres to infection control and radiation safety guidelines.
• Documents patient and procedural data for accurate billing and records.
