Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist to perform catheterization procedures under physician orders, ensuring timely, accurate results and quality patient care.

You will assist physicians, monitor ECG and hemodynamics, prep patients, maintain equipment, and respond to emergencies per ACLS guidelines, with expected flexibility for evenings and weekends, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate is required.
• Minimum of two years experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Electrophysiology Lab, or Special Procedures area preferred.
• Intensive Care or relevant health care field experience considered.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 90 days of employment; ARRT registration considered.

Responsibilities

• Operates cardiac catheterization devices and support equipment to assist physicians in obtaining diagnostic information.
• Assists physicians as a sterile assistant in fluoroscopic catheterization procedures.
• Monitors the patient's ECG, hemodynamic status and other clinical signs during procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Prepares and sets up patients for procedures to ensure quality clinical outcomes.
• Monitors and maintains equipment to ensure continuous availability for clinical operations.
• Performs emergency patient care management per ACLS guidelines to ensure quality outcomes.
